Popular yet unpredictable Ärjy was thought to be out of the race after the fish had u-turned back to the starting area. Today the crowds witnessed a new fish storming up the river, all the way up to the Siikakoski rapid scoring on top. Second in day's race was Fishinglord's Lyyli, after a convincing rise of roughly 1000 meters.
The overall top scorer of the Kotka GP Simo Suomu keeps advancing the central parts of lower Kymi, as it approaches the Koivukoski fishway. Raipe follows nearby.
In Jasper challenge GP Ice One Racing Team's Kimi bounced right from the start one kilometer up to the inlet of Koivukoski water power plant. To great surprise of the observers of the race, Mikko's Sintti (Dwarf) took second place in the daily score.
Jasper's Koskinen had some difficulties in remembering the purpose of the annual migration, as it lowered back to the Rapid of Hinttula. Hopefully Chisu's Her Majesty The Queen will return his thoughts back to spawning, as she is located nearby in the same rapid
