The political spectacle at the riverfront took a new shape when Pietari (Peter) and Toivo (Hope) broke away from the others with daily performance of 2400 and 2450 meters respectively. The overall race is still dominated by The Last Salmochan of the Greens and Calle of the Swedish people's party. Severely disoriented Teko of the Social democrats kept cruising the rapid nearby, not showing slightest interest towards the race, which took of a few kilometers west from Teko's current location.
In Kotka GP Börje speaded up to second consecutive victory, after a rather mediocre day in the race. Runner up of the day was Fishinglords' Lyyli, who was clever enough no to swim downstream, nor anywhere else. Simo Suomu and Ärjy are still leading the overall race, although neither of them has recently seemed willing to take the challenge of the fishway at Koivukoski dam.
